"A Little Game" tells the story of Max, a young girl whose parents struggle to afford her enrollment in an esteemed private school. Despite her intelligence and independence, Max feels uncertain about fitting in with her classmates who are unwelcoming. When her grandmother passes away, Max's confidence diminishes further. However, through discovering New York City and its lessons on life and chess, she begins to find her place in the world.
