Mysteriously plucked from his budding career as a rap artist, T.J wakes up in the hands of South Carolina patrollers in 1822. He was transported back in time to pre-Civil War South, where he finds himself in the middle of a slave revolt. He quickly learns the value of education and the freedom he once took for granted.
